What’s Changing?

  1. 200 Character Limit (Including Spaces)
    • Amazon will now limit product titles to 200 characters, including spaces. You’ll need to be more careful about what you include in the title to stay within this limit.
  2. No Special Characters (Unless in Your Brand Name)
    • Special symbols like !, $, {}, or others won’t be allowed in titles unless they are part of your brand name. So, if your brand name has an exclamation mark, that’s fine, but avoid using unnecessary symbols in the rest of the title.
  3. No Repeating Words
    • You can’t repeat words more than twice in a title. For example, writing “Bluetooth Bluetooth Speaker” is not allowed. But common words like “and,” “the,” or “with” can be used more than twice.
  4. Amazon Will Help You Fix It
    • If your title doesn’t follow the new rules, Amazon will notify you and suggest a fix through the Review Listing Updates feature. If you don’t make the changes within 14 days, Amazon will update it for you.
